Characteristics
We grow our officinal herbs on our estate in Sardinia, in the province of Oristano, the largest single organic farm in Italy. We apply our agricultural knowhow and precision tools, following a strict organic protocol certified by Valoritalia, and do not use weed killers or pesticides. Our production chain is therefore 100% Italian, from seed to finished product, and every single stage in the field is traced by our data registration system, to document and monitor all the phases in the farming process.
Our officinal herbs are sown and grown in an ideal environment: air humidity linked to the local windy conditions, high exposure to the sun and balanced year-round average temperatures mean that the herbs can be harvested several times during the year. The herbs are dried on site in ventilated ovens at a controlled temperature to preserve their nutritional properties and functional benefits. The officinal plants are cut and turned into infusions and herbal tea in our plant in Cortona in Tuscany.
